St Edmund's College, is a Catholic boys private school in Canberra. It was established in 1954 as an Edmund Rice school.

The current Headmaster is Dr. Chris Hayes. Dr Christopher Hayes was appointed Headmaster of St. Edmund's College, Canberra in January 2005. He is an Old Boy of St. Patrick's College, Strathfield and began teaching with the Christian Brothers at CBC Burwood in the early 1980s. He then traveled overseas and taught in an inner London school during 1983. On his return to Australia he began teaching at St. Ignatius' College, Riverview NSW as a teacher of R.E and History. He held a variety of positions such as Housemaster, Head of Faculty, Director of Boarding and Director of the Senior School. He was the longest serving lay boarding master at the College, having supervised boarders for twenty consecutive years. In 2005 he submitted his doctoral thesis on Ignatian pedagogy for examination and awarded an Ed. D in 2006. Christopher also has a BA Dip Ed (Syd Uni), Grad Dip Rel Studies and M.Ed.

The College has won the Waratah Shield for many years, although they, like every school in the ACT, are no longer permitted to participate by the organisers. The College has over 480 registered boys playing rugby, from under 10's through to under 18's. The College traditionally shares a great rivalry with Marist College Canberra.
