Gary Stanlow was a fictional character in the British soap opera Brookside played by Andrew Fillis.

Gary was Lindsey Corkhill's ex-husband who resented her for leaving him and taking their daughter Kylie with them. In 1996, When Lindsey and Kylie prepared to move to Australia with Mike Dixon, Lindsey's new fiancee, Gary gave Kylie a teddy bear as going away present. Unknown to Mike and Lindsey the bear contained drugs, which were discovered at an Airport in Thailand. Mike and Lindsey were arrested and forced to serve several weeks in a Thai prison.

Gary later admitted to planting the drugs then left town. Two Years later Gary reappeared in his ex-wife and daughter's and caused friction between Lindsey and her new partner, Peter Phelan. Lindsey was driven to breaking point, which resulted in her purchasing a gun and threatening Gary out of her and Kylie's lives for good.
