This article is about the musician Stephen Morris. For the novel by Nevil Shute see: Stephen Morris (novel).

Stephen Morris (born Stephen Paul David Morris, 28 October 1957 in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England) is a musician in the Manchester based rock band New Order. Although he is primarily a percussionist, he also plays keyboards. He also drummed in the band from which New Order was formed, Joy Division, and in The Other Two, a band made up of Morris and his wife,Gillian Gilbert.

(He attended the same school in Macclesfield as Joy Division vocalist Ian Curtis and was expelled for abusing cough syrup). Early on, Morris was a strong contender to become New Order's lead vocalist, and his voice can be heard on some early tracks (especially live versions). He also contributed musically to as-yet-unreleased demos by fellow Mancunians Quando Quango.

Something of an eccentric, Morris has been called "daft as a brush" by bandmate Peter Hook. Morris reportedly used some of his fortune to purchase several military vehicles. He and Gilbert live in Rainow, outside Macclesfield.
