Steppe Tundra is an open landcape with climatic conditions unable to support a dense forest population, but is perfect for small shrubbery such as arid grass and cottonwood. Steppe Tundra can be considered a semi desert, as it is too dry for forest growth but too wet to be considered a desert. Throughout the landscape, there can be small rivers to support small willow stands.
35,000 thousand years ago, such terrain could be found in Central Asia and Siberia. In this region, a limited amount of wildlife was present, such as the mammoth, woolly rhinoceros, muskox, steppe bison, reindeer, and wild horse.
