Steppenwolf 7 is an album by the band Steppenwolf, released in 1970 (see 1970 in music), and their fifth studio recording for Dunhill Records. While the album featured Steppenwolf's trademark rock and roll sounds, none of the songs were able to make the Top 40. The album featured a now classic cover of Hoyt Axtons "Snowblind Friend", their second cover of one of his anti-drug songs (the first being the famous "The Pusher"). Besides that, most of the album is now considered amongst Steppenwolfs best material, with tracks such as "Who Needs Ya", "Renegade" and "Hippo Stomp" standing out as often mentioned additions to their already mighty catalogue.

  1. "Ball Crusher" – 4:49
  2. "Forty Days and Forty Nights" – 3:01
  3. "Fat Jack" – 4:46
  4. "Renegade" – 6:05
  5. "Foggy Mental Breakdown" – 3:51
  6. "Snowblind Friend" – 3:51
  7. "Who Needs Ya'" – 2:57
  8. "Earschplittenloudenboomer" – 4:58
  9. "Hippo Stomp" – 5:39
