Steven Richardson

Steven Richardson (born 24 July 1966) is an English golfer.

Richardson was born in Windsor, Berkshire. He won the English Amateur Championship in 1989 and turned professional later than year. He made a strong start to his professional career, winning the Girona Open and the Portuguese Open on the European Tour in 1991, and finishing second on that year's Order of Merit. However his career soon went into decline, winning only one further European Tour event, the 1993 Mercedes German Masters. He last finished in the top 100 of the Order of Merit in 1995 and after 2001 he lost his place on the European Tour.

Richardson was a member of Europe's losing Ryder Cup team in 1991. He won two points in partnership with Mark James but lost his singles match to Corey Pavin. In 1992 he was a member of the winning English team at the Alfred Dunhill Cup.
