Stirling Austin Mortlock (born 20 May 1977 in Sydney) is an Australian rugby union player, who plays at outside centre for the Brumbies in Super 14 (formerly Super 12) and the Australia national team (the Wallabies).

He is the current outside centre of choice in the Australian side, which, given the quality of the Australian back line, is no small accomplishment. He and Matt Giteau make a formidable centre team, playing together both for the Brumbies and the Wallabies.

He is also a more than capable goalkicker, although he recently stated publicly that his current conversion rate for the Wallabies needs improvement.[citation needed] In the second test against South Africa in the 2006 Tri Nations Series, Mortlock was successful with a conversion from the sideline, which actually hit the upright and went through, seeing the Wallabies scape home 20 to 18.

He has three children, Hunter, Harrisson and Sophie Mortlock. Charlotte Mortlock.

Stirling loves music and is also a self-confessed movie buff, he rates his iPod in his top two possessions and his two favourite bands are U2 and Coldplay.

Stirling attended The King's School in North Parramatta, Sydney, Australia.
