Contents

Stourbridge is one of four constituencies covering the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, covering the south-west of the borough. The constituency includes the town of Stourbridge itself, and also Amblecote and Cradley.

The current Stourbridge constituency was formed in 1997, taking in a large part of the former Halesowen and Stourbridge constituency (the remainder forming part of Halesowen and Rowley Regis). Halesowen and Stourbridge had been held by the Conservatives, but both of its replacements were taken by Labour in 1997.

Margot James was selected as the Conservative candidate for the seat in December 2006.
