Surf Wax America is a Weezer song, written by Rivers Cuomo and Patrick Wilson, that appears on their self-titled 1994 album Weezer. Rivers has called it "a total sarcastic call to hedonism, to sing along, drink and be merry. I hate drinking and only do so when I absolutely have to."

Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys are major influences in this song, specifically the fact that they would always sing about surfing but never actually surf. Rivers also doesn't surf but sings about surfing.

After the second chorus Brian Wilson's influence is most evident with the Beach Boys-esque breakdown. The same breakdown also occurs in the song Holiday.

Jack Black also included this song into his iTunes celebrity playlist with the explanation "When Tenacious D opened for these guys, I'd always go into the audience and watch them close the show with this asskicker. Check the drums around 1:21...so satisfying."
