Swan Hills is a town (1967) in northern Alberta located north of Whitecourt at the junction of Highway 32 and Highway 33. Located in Municipal District of Big Lakes within census Division No. 17, Alberta.

Population: 1,807 (2005)

Although considered to be in northern Alberta, it is in fact at the geographical center of the province.
