The Taiwan Independence Party (Traditional Chinese: 建國黨; pinyin: Jiànguódǎng, literal meaning: "Nation-establishing Party") is a political party in the Republic of China on Taiwan.

It is usually associated with the pan-green coalition and supports Taiwan independence.

Disappointed by the Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) gradual moderation of its support of Taiwan independence, some DPP members formed the Taiwan Independence Party in 1996. However, the party has failed to win large-scale support, and it has largely been displaced as Taiwan's ideological independence party by the newly-formed Taiwan Solidarity Union (TSU).
