Talisay City, Negros Occidental

Talisay City is a 5th class city in the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines. It neighbors Silay City to the north, and Bacolod City to the south. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 79,146 people in 15,774 households.
A Gawad Kalinga village, Hope GK, a project that houses the poor and homeless people of the Philippines, is located in Concepcion.
Mayor Eric "Doc" Saratan is the current mayor of Talisay City. The current Vice-Mayor is Neil Lizares.
TUP-Visayas which is funded by the national government is located in the city.
Talisay City is politically subdivided into 27 barangays.
