Impact is a television news music package composed by Nashville-based 615 Music. It is also one of 615's most successful news packages.
Impact was originally composed in 1994 for WTVT in Tampa, Florida, who commissioned V.1 and V.2. The package consists of five versions on almost 20 CDs containing almost 1600 total cuts centered around at least 55 themes.
WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee, commissioned version three of the package in 2002 and a fourth version, composed in 2004. Version five was commissioned by WTVF in Nashville in 2006.
The package is available in three additional versions: Impact V.1 features an ABC version (one of only a few packages that uses the ABC News signature), Impact V.1 and V.4 feature an NBC chimes signature and a Impact V.2 features a Fox signature (featuring the opening coda of the 20th Century Fox fanfare).
