Tempestt Bledsoe (born August 1, 1973) is an American actress best known for her role as Vanessa Huxtable in the popular 1980s sitcom, The Cosby Show.

Vanessa was known for being bossy, as well as nosey. In the first season(s), she wanted a dog, and brought it up any chance she got. As she grew up, she faced typical problems and heartbreaks, usually with Robert, her on-again-off-again boyfriend. She became engaged in the final season to Dabnus, the head of maintenance at her college. They maintained they were "just friends" by the end of the sitcom.

In the mid-1990s, she enjoyed a short-lived stint as the host of her own daytime talk show, The Tempestt Bledsoe Show at the Internet Movie Database. More recently, she has been featured in the role of a single mother on the ABC show The Practice, the Lifetime show Strong Medicine, and South Of Nowhere.

In television interviews, she is often asked about and speaks of her experiences as a child star together with her co-stars Bill Cosby, Phylicia Rashad, Lisa Bonet, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Sabrina Le Beauf, and Raven-Symone.

Bledsoe is mentioned in Stephen Levitt's Freakonomics as an example of her first name being mistaken for "Temptress".
