Tender Mercies is a 1983 film which tells the story of a recovering alcoholic country music singer whose relationships with a young widow and her son help to turn his life and career around. It stars Robert Duvall, Tess Harper, Betty Buckley, Wilford Brimley and Ellen Barkin. The movie was filmed in the Dallas, Texas area.
