The Thames-Coromandel District Council in the North Island of New Zealand is seated in the town of Thames. It is located in the region around the Firth of Thames and Coromandel Peninsula, to the southeast of Auckland.

The district has a population of 25,938 at the 2006 census. Of these, 3768 live in Whitianga, 1476 in Coromandel, and 3555 in Whangamata.

The Thames-Coromandel District Council was formed from the amalgamation of the former Thames and Coromandel County Councils
