The Exordium
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Exordium is the series of books written by Mehdi Zand. The first volume of the Exordium, entitled The Exordium (Volume 1): The Emergence of the Gods, was first published in the UK in 2004. Six volumes are expected to be published in total, with the second volume due to be published in late 2006 or early 2007.
The introduction to the first volume of the Exordium reads as follows:
From the moment that Man first began to think, he has wondered who he is and where he has come from. Since then, he has invented gods and demons to explain the world and his existence. Some of these powers he called good, and others evil; some became known as the friends of man, others his enemy. People have come, claiming to be the prophets or messengers of these hidden beings. Mankind has created religions to safeguard the souls of the masses and given clergy the power to hold the keys to the gates of ‘heaven’. Throughout history, Man has killed and destroyed one another in the name of these gods. And meanwhile, these gods have remained silent, as if they never existed…
What Man has imagined may not be real, but there are gods that do exist, and the Exordium is their story. Read this book. Imagine the chapters. Hear the voices of the gods. See through their eyes and experience their emotions. Live the Exordium.
Is this book heresy? Most definitely. Is it real? That is for you to decide.
