The Frozen Ghost (1945) is a mystery film, starring Lon Chaney Jr. and Evelyn Ankers. It was directed by Harold Young. This film is considered to be a "Inner Sanctum" mystery.
Chaney plays the role of Gregor the Great, a stage mentalist, who is humiliated by a member of his drunk audience. Gregor is then convinced that he hypnotized him to death. Gregor is ridden with guilt and becomes the owner of a wax museum, owned by Valerie Monet (Tala Birell). Valerie, her niece, and Gregor former stage assistant, Maura Daniel (Evelyn Ankers) pursue him romantically. Something suspicious begins to happen when Valerie mysteriously disappears.
