The History Channel UK is a British television channel broadcasting programmes related to historical events and persons. The channel is owned by a joint-venture between British Sky Broadcasting and A&E Television Networks, owner of the American The History Channel. It was launched in November 1995 and was the first version of The History Channel to launch outside the United States.
