Theresa Thomason is an African-American gospel singer.

Since the age of thirteen, Theresa Thomason has been earning critical acclaim for her performances in a variety of musical sytles, like Jazz, Gospel and R&B. Theresa reached the airwaves with "Fresh Enuff" a popular club single. The success of her single was quickly followed by a winning performance at the famous Apollo Theater in New York City.

Miss Thomason won the hearts of concert goers as she toured Europe for over nine years. Her performances were a succession of sold-out concerts in over 150 European cities. Theresa is also a featured artist with the Grammy Award winning Paul Winter Consort at the annual Solstice, Missa Gaia and Earth Mass celebrations at St. John the Divine, a majestic and famous cathedral in New York City. Many of these performances have been televised on PBC and NBC. Miss Thomason has also performed live at the United Nations for the Dalai Lama.

In 1999 Thomason collaborated with composer Paul Halley on the Pelagos recording of "Sound Over All Waters". Halley's compositions and arrangements were created specifically for Theresa which resulted in a stunningly powerful collection of spiritual music.

In 2000, Thomason entered a new area of music, appearing onstage for a show with American progressive metal band Dream Theater on the Metropolis 2000 world tour, after having appeared on the Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory album. In addition to reprising her vocal parts for the album, Thomason sang on "John and Theresa Solo Spot", improvising over a John Petrucci guitar solo, and sang one verse on "The Spirit Carries On". This performance was filmed and released on DVD and CD under the name Metropolis 2000: Scenes From New York.

Thomason has continued to appear at Dream Theater shows, and performed Clare Torry's famous vocal improvisation on "The Great Gig in the Sky" when the band covered Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, Holland on October 11, 2005 and the Hammersmith Apollo in London on October 25, 2005. The London show was recorded and released again on both DVD and CD through Dream Theater's Ytsejam Records.
