Tim Bowness (from Stockton Heath, Cheshire, England, born, November 29th, 1963) is a singer/songwriter primarily known for his work as part of the band No-Man, a long-term project with Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson.

After several years in unsigned Manchester and Warrington based experimental indie bands such as Plenty, After The Stranger and Still, in 1988 Tim moved to London to join Steven Wilson in No-Man.

In addition to recording albums with No-Man, Tim has appeared on albums by major Italian artist Alice, experimental guitar legend David Torn, German band centrozoon, and recorded a collaboration album with Porcupine Tree/Japan/Rain Tree Crow keyboard player Richard Barbieri called Flame.

In 2001, Tim established the highly regarded internet label Burning Shed with 'Lord' Peter Chilvers and Pete Morgan.

Tim's debut solo album, My Hotel Year (featuring Roger Eno and Hugh Hopper, amongst others) was released on the One Little Indian label in 2004.
