Tokyu Meguro Line

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tōkyū Meguro Line (東急目黒線 Tōkyū Meguro-sen?) is a commuter train service which runs between Meguro in southwest Tokyo and Musashi-Kosugi in Kanagawa prefecture. The service is operated by the private Tokyo Kyuko Electric Railway company.

The Meguro line currently interoperates with the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line and Toei Mita Line from Meguro. Until this connection was established in 2000, the line was known as the Tokyu Mekama Line, and ran between Meguro and Kamata

Since September 25th, 2006, there will be an express service between Musashi-kosugi and Meguro. The express will stop at Musashi-kosugi, Tamagawa, Den-en-chōfu, Ōokayama, Musashi-koyama, and Meguro. This will save 5 minutes. Express trains are most common in rush hour and in midday once every 4 to 5 trains
