Tomb of The Mutilated is Cannibal Corpse's third album. It was released in 1992 through Metal Blade Records and is the last album featuring founding guitarist Bob Russay. The album was banned in Germany until June 2006, due to the cover art featuring a corpse performing cunnilingus to a female corpse. The censored version features a brown corpse watching the sex (not shown) in adoration. It is only possible to tell the censored cover has relevance to the original because the female corpse's arm can be seen at the bottom.

Tomb of the Mutilated is highly regarded as Cannibal Corpse's best album by many fans, due to its sheer brutality and very heavy production. Also, Chris Barnes' vocals are arguably at his best; being very low and deep. Another reason for this album being favored as one of Cannibal Corpse's best is the legendary Death Metal anthem Hammer Smashed Face.
