Too Many Girls is a Broadway musical comedy that opened October 18, 1939, with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart and book by George Marion, Jr.. It was produced by George Abbott. It ran for 249 performances at the Imperial Theatre, moving to the Broadway Theatre in 1940.
The cast included Desi Arnaz, Richard Kollmar, Eddie Bracken, and Van Johnson. Arnaz, Bracken, and Johnson repeated their roles in the 1940 RKO Radio Pictures movie version. During the filming, Arnaz met future wife Lucille Ball.
