Town 'n' Country is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place in Hillsborough County, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the area had a total population of 72,523.

Town 'n' Country census boundaries contain separate communities of Bay Crest Park, Countryway, Rocky Creek, Sweetwater Creek, and Town 'n' Country.

Town 'n' Country is located at 28°0′36″N, 82°34′22″W (28.010046, -82.572815)GR1. or 5 miles NW of Tampa. The extreme northwest portion of Tampa International Airport is located within the boundaries.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the census area has a total area of 63.2 km² (24.4 mi²). 61.3 km² (23.7 mi²) of it is land and 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²) of it (3.03%) is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 72,523 people, 28,870 households, and 18,707 families residing in the census area. The population density was 1,183.0/km² (3,063.5/mi²). There were 30,720 housing units at an average density of 501.1/km² (1,297.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the community was 78.48% White, 7.89% African American, 0.36% Native American, 3.28% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 6.96% from other races, and 2.95% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 28.97% of the population.

There were 28,870 households out of which 30.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.0% were married couples living together, 12.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.2% were non-families. 26.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 3.06.

In the census area the population was spread out with 24.0% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 34.7% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 95.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.9 males.

The median income for a household in the census area was $42,415, and the median income for a family was $49,054. Males had a median income of $32,489 versus $26,946 for females. The per capita income for the community was $21,346. About 6.2% of families and 8.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 10.3% of those under age 18 and 7.7% of those age 65 or over.

Settled in 1956 as a dairy farm. It remained rural until suburbization occurred durig the 1960s and the 1970's.
