IMDb profile

Trapped in Paradise is a 1994 crime comedy film written and directed by George Gallo, and starring Nicholas Cage.

It's Christmas time. Bill Firpo (Nicolas Cage) is the manager of a restaurant. His two brothers Dave (Jon Lovitz) and Alvin (Dana Carvey) are in prison and just got parolled and are in Bill's custody. They talk him into going to Paradise, Pennsylvania to do a favor for a fellow inmate of their's. After a situation with the police they go and discover a bank that isn't exactly heavy on security. They make plans to rob it and actually get away with it but the journey out of the world's friendliest town wasn't so easy.

  • Though it is set in Paradise, Pennsylvania no taping was done there. Most filming was in Elora, Ontario, Canada and New York City, New York.
  • Tripod the three legged dog was added when George Gallo saw he and his owner watching filming and decided to write him in as the Anderson's dog.
