Trevor Bannister (born 14 August 1936) is an English actor who is best known for playing the sarcastically witty Mr Lucas in the sitcom Are You Being Served? from 1972 to 1979.

In the late 1960s he also played "Heavy Breathing" in the Jack Rosenthal sitcom The Dustbinmen and Peter Pitt in the 1988 BBC sitcom Wyatt's Watchdogs.

Other TV guest appearances include Last of the Summer Wine, Coronation Street, Keeping Up Appearances, Call Earnshaw, The Saint, The Tomorrow People, Only on Sunday and The Avengers.

Bannister has performed in pantomime for over 35 years, nearly always playing the dame.[1]

He has three sons: Jeremy, Simon and Timothy. He now lives in Surrey with his second wife, Pamela.
