Triiodothyronine, C₁₅ H₁₂ I₃ N O₄, also known as T₃, is a thyroid hormone.

Thyroid hormone similar to thyroxine but with one less iodine atom per molecule and produced in smaller quantity.

It exerts the same biological effects as thyroxine but is more potent
