Tyler Bates is a music producer and composer for films.

His most recent work various other tracks from the zombie horror film Dawn of the Dead. Other projects include The Devil's Rejects, 300 and Slither.

He is also a drummer in the band JBOT.

300's soundtrack borrowed many elements from Elliot Goldenthal's 1999 soundtrack for Titus, which caused some controversy in the film composer community.[1] [2] [3] 300's "Remember Us" is identical in parts to the end of Titus's "Finale". Also similar is 300's "Returns A King" to Titus's "Victorius Titus".[4] "Message For The Queen", from the soundtrack of 300, is a traditional Macedonian Song called Zajdi Zajdi Jasno Sonce (Зајди зајди јасно сонце), completely ripped of and uncredited [5]. Other similarities have been found throughout the films' scores.
