The UPHSD Altas (formerly UPHR Altas) are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) basketball team of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta.

They are the only NCAA basketball team never to clinch a championship.

The other seniors varsity teams may also be referred to as the Altas. The juniors team are the UPHSD Altalettes, while the women's teams are the UPHSD Lady Altas.

The monicker ‘Altas’ comes from the Latin word “height,” symbolizing UPHSD's aspirations for further greatness.

Established in 1968 by Drs. Jose and Josefina Tamayo as the Perpetual Help Hospital and School of Nursing , the institution has a long history of training nurses for service in the Philippines and overseas. Over the years, under the leadership of Dr. Antonio L. Tamayo, it has developed into a university system offering a wide variety of programs. Foremost among these is a comprehensive suite of allied health program offerings, including th University's core program, Nursing.

The University of Perpetual Help System has one of the most highly regarded nursing programs in the country, with graduates working at top medical facilities in the Philippines and around the world.

Over the past four decades, UPHS has maintained its commitment to excellence in mentoring generations of students across its eight campuses nationwide.
