The company was founded by Apple Vacations, a leading tour operator in the Northeastern United States. Apple was interested in bringing a charter airline "in-house" so it could control crew morale, what aircraft they fly and service plans.[citation needed]

USA 3000 Airlines flies a fleet of Airbus A320 jet aircraft that are configured with 168 seats in a single-class configuration. This aircraft also has one of the largest overhead bins in the industry. On some of their longer flights, USA 3000 serves meals.
