  • The fourth Relief (SP-2170) was a steel wrecking tug, acquired in 1917. She was sold to her former owner, who operated her between the two wars, and returned to Navy service in 1942. She was placed out of service in 1955.
  • The fifth Relief was built in 1904 as a light vessel for the United States Lighthouse Service, and acquired by the Navy in 1918. She was returned to the Lighthouse Service in 1919.
  • The sixth Relief (AH-1) was designed from the keel up as a hospital ship and commissioned in 1920. She served through World War II and decommissioned in 1946.
