Under the Sign of the Black Mark is the third album by Bathory. While it can hardly be classed as anything other than straight-up black metal, several tracks, most notably "Enter the Eternal Fire," display the group beginning to branch out into more adventurous, epic territory. "Woman of Dark Desires" is a tribute to the band's namesake, Erzsébet Báthory, and became one of their most recognized early tracks.
