United and Alternative Left (Esquerra Unida i Alternativa) is a political party from Catalonia, Spain. It is the Catalan referent of the United Left (Izquierda Unida). It was formed in 1998 as an alliance of Party of the Catalonian Communists, PSUC viu, POR, PRT-IR, PASOC, CEA and CLI.
