The Partridge Family's Up to Date album was released in February of 1971. It was their second album. It contained such hits as "I'll Meet You Halfway" and "Doesn't Somebody Want to Be Wanted". The album included a bookcover.

The album reached #3 on the Billboard album chart. The background musicians were; Hal Blaine on drums, Joe Osborne on bass guitar, Mike Melvoin on keyboard, Dennis Budimir and Louie Shelton on guitars. As with all Partridge Family albums, it was produced by Wes Farrell at Western Recorders, studio 2 in Los Angeles.
