Contents

SG-1 has alien technology implanted into their minds and must endure an annoying entity, which only they can see, who is more human than he appears. Because of the nature of the device, Hammond is forced to confine SG-1 in the base while the entity, Urgo, begins pestering them with his limitless curiosity. Unable to tolerate his existence any longer, SG-1 decides to return to the planet where they received the implant. They convince the reclusive scientist who implanted the devices to remove them, and suggest that he implant Urgo into his own mind, as their differing personalities complement each other.

  • The game which Urgo refers to (involving guessing the meaning of words) is the game Balderdash
  • Actor Dom DeLuise (Urgo and Togar) and director Peter DeLuise are father and son. This is the first time a DeLuise has guest-starred on the show. Dom's sons Peter, Michael, and David and Dom's daughter-in-law and Peter's wife, Anne Marie, had on-screen roles in later seasons.
  • Dom DeLuise ad-libbed most of his lines. According to the Official Guide to Seasons Three and Four, very few scenes include Teal'c, since actor Christopher Judge couldn't keep a straight face.
  • When Urgo transformed into the Air Force officer, that was actually the director of the show and his son; Peter DeLuise

  • Urgo: I want to live! I want to experience the universe and I want to eat pie.
    Jack: Who doesn't?
  • O'Neill: Wasn't that hot? (After Teal'c drinks a pot of still boiling coffee)
    Teal'c: Extremely.
