Uzumi Nara Athha (ウズミ・ナラ・アスハ Uzumi Nara Asuha?) is a fictional character from the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, set in the Cosmic Era timeline of the Gundam universe. He is voiced by Toru Ohkawa in the original Japanese version and by John Novak in the English dub.

In Gundam SEED, Uzumi Nara Athha is the leader of the United Emirates of ORB, "the Lion of Orb", and the adoptive father of Cagalli Yula Athha. He is known to be dedicated to the well-being of his nation and uncompromising on his own ideals and the ideals of Orb. Even when he was forced to resign his position as Chief Representative of Orb after it was revealed that the Orb space colony Heliopolis had developed the prototype mobile weapons for the Earth Alliance under his watch, Uzumi still wielded a lot of influence by giving "advice" to his successor Representative Homura, who also happens to be his younger brother. He is the voice of wisdom and reason in the series and is memorable for his speech to Cagalli about the endless cycle of wars: If someone were to be killed in battle by her, then the mother would hate her for killing that person, and if Cagalli were to be killed in battle by someone, then Uzumi would hate that person.

When the Archangel is about to enter Orb territory due to a ZAFT attack, Orb forces at first do not allow them access. However, Uzumi decides to let the Archangel in their territory since his daughter Cagalli Yula Athha is on board. There, he has a conference with Murrue Ramius, Mu La Flaga, and Natarle Badgiruel, offering extensive repairs for the Archangel in return for data on the GAT-X105 Strike and the technical cooperation of its pilot Kira Yamato in creating an OS for their MBF-M1 Astray mobile suits, if they agreed. Uzumi then meets with Kira Yamato's adoptive parents, informing them that Kira Yamato and Cagalli Yula Athha have met and blaming it on fate. When the Archangel is about to depart, Cagalli decides that she must go with the Archangel, however, Uzumi persuades her to stay.

Later in Gundam SEED, after the destruction of JOSH-A, the Archangel returns to Orb. At this time, the Earth Alliance invades Orb to acquire their mass driver. Uzumi then gives Cagalli a picture of her and Kira when they were babies, with their names written on the back, showing that they are really brother and sister. He cautions Cagalli that Muruta Azrael's hatred for Coordinators and Patrick Zala's hatred for Naturals, if left unchecked, will bring about the destruction of the entire known universe. After the Kusanagi launches into space, Uzumi self-destructs the base, destroying the mass driver and killing himself and Orb's leading representatives.

In late C.E. 73, Cagalli Yula Athha receives a golden mobile suit, the ORB-01 Akatsuki, as her father's legacy.
