The 7th arrondissement (VIIe arrondissement), located on the Left Bank, is one of the 20 arrondissements of Paris, France. It contains a number of French national institutions. Among these are the French National Assembly and numerous French ministries.
The 7th arrondissement is also a major tourist destination, containing the Eiffel Tower and the Hôtel des Invalides, which is the burial site of Napoléon.

The land area of this arrondissement is 4.088 km² (1.578 sq. miles, or 1,010 acres).
The peak population of the 7th arrondissement occurred in 1926 when it had 110,684 inhabitants. Because of the locations of numerous bodies of the French government, this arrondissement has never been as densely populated as some of the others.[citation needed] In 1999, the population was 56,985, while the arrondissement also hosted 76,212 jobs.
