The team, founded in 1993, play in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, a member of the Canadian Hockey League. Former Quebec Nordiques and Trois-Rivières Draveurs star, Pierre Aubry was the team's first coach.

The team has won the President's Cup twice, in 1997-98 and in 2000-01. They have also been in the Memorial Cup twice. They lost in the round robin in the 1998 tournament, and lost in the 2001 finals to the Red Deer Rebels. Their home arena is the Centre Air Creebec.
