Vernita Green

Vernita Green is the name of a character in the 2003 Quentin Tarantino film, Kill Bill, played by Vivica A. Fox
Green was a member of an elite group of assassins, the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, led by the enigmatic Bill (played by David Carradine). She was an accomplished knife-fighter and also operated under the codename 'Copperhead' (all members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad operated under snake-related codenames).
Green, along with other members of the squad, attempted to kill former Viper Beatrix Kiddo (played by Uma Thurman) at a Texas wedding chapel, leaving her in a coma. Soon after, Green renounced her life as a hired killer, resigned from the DiVAS and started afresh in a quiet suburban neighborhood in Pasadena, California, where she married Dr. Lawrence Bell, took the alias Jeanie Bell, and had a child, Nikkia (nicknamed 'Nikki').
Four years later, Kiddo emerged from the coma to take revenge on her would-be murderers. After Kiddo killed O-Ren Ishii, Green was next.
Sure enough, Kiddo showed up at her doorstep one afternoon and engaged her in brutal hand to hand combat. During the fight, however, Nikki came home from school, and Kiddo backed away, unwilling to kill Green in front of her child. Green sent Nikki to her room and apologized to Kiddo for what she had done, entreating her former comrade-in-arms to have mercy in light of the way she had turned her life around. Kiddo was unmoved, however, and insisted on settling the score in a duel later that night. Thinking quickly, Green shot at Kiddo with a handgun she kept concealed in a "Kaboom" brand cereal box, but missed. Kiddo quickly dispatched her with a thrown knife that lodged itself into the middle of Green's chest.
Little Nikki heard the commotion and went to the kitchen just in time to see Kiddo kill her mother. Kiddo smiled resignedly at the child and said she would be waiting for her in case she wanted revenge when she grew up. Tarantino has confirmed that, should he make a sequel to the first two volumes, Nikki will play a major role, having chosen to take Beatrix up on her offer of revenge.
