Vientiane (Lao ວຽງຈັນ) is a province of Laos, located in the northwest of the country.
1989 the province was split into two halves - the Vientiane prefecture containing the city Vientiane itself, and the remaining province.
The province is made up of the following districts:
- Feuang (10-06)
- Hinhurp (10-09)
- Kasy (10-04)
- Keo Oudom (10-03)
- Mad (10-08)
- Phonhong (10-01)
- Thoulakhom (10-02)
- Vangvieng (10-05)
- Viengkham (10-10)
- Xanakharm (10-07)
Attapu - Bokeo - Bolikhamxai - Champasak - Houaphan - Khammouan - Louang Namtha - Louangphabang - Oudomxai - Phongsali - Salavan - Savannakhet - Vientiane - Xaignabouli - Xekong - Xiangkhoang
