The WCW Light Heavyweight Championship was a short-lived title that lasted from 1991 until 1992 in World Championship Wrestling. It was a title used for the cruiserweights that preceded the WCW Cruiserweight Title by a few years. The WCW Cruiserweight title, used to replace the Light Heavyweight title in 1996, later became a WWE championship. WWE recognizes former WCW Light Heavyweight Champions as former WCW/WWE Cruiserweight Champions.
