WDAY-FM 93.7 or Y94 is a Top 40 radio station in Fargo, North Dakota owned by James Ingstad. Most of the music played on Y94 is current pop, rock, and rap hits. It does not currently share ownership with the WDAY-TV-AM stations owned by Forum Communications.
Ingstad's Radio Fargo-Moorhead, Inc. also owns KFGO 790 (News/Talk), KVOX-AM 1280 (Sports), KBVB 95.1 (Country), KRWK 101.9 (Rock), and KDAM 104.7 (Adult Contemporary) in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
The station signed on in 1979 as one of the first FM radio stations, after rock station KQWB-FM 98.7 "Q98". It was owned by Forum Communications Company, along with WDAY-AM 970 and WDAY-TV 6. Y94 was sold to James Ingstad of Fargo sometime in 1996, and sold to Clear Channel in 2000, along with several other radio stations in the area. On September 28, 2006, WDAY-FM and the other Clear Channel stations in Fargo were sold back to James Ingstad, including KDAM which signed on in 2002. The sale was approved by the FCC on January 19, 2007.
