WWE Films is a subsidiary of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., created in 2002 to create and develop feature film properties for the professional wrestlers within the company.
Though, even before the formation of WWE Films the WWE first produced No Holds Barred featuring Hulk Hogan, which is looked as a predecessor to WWE Films.
To date it has co-produced two films and is currently producing three more independently, with The Marine being the first developed solely by the company to reach the filming stage, and the first one to be theatrically released was See No Evil. The president of WWE Films is Joel Simon who recently expressed interest in filming a sequel to The Marine, the idea has yet to get a green light.
Stone Cold Steve Austin has agreed to star in three WWE Films productions, the first one being The Condemned.
