Waalwijk (pronunciation (help·info)) is a municipality and a city in the southern Netherlands. It is a member of the Langstraat ( long street ). It has small population of 50 000 and is located near the motorways A59 and N261. The towns of Sprang Capelle and Waspik together with Waalwijk form the municipality of Waalwijk. The city has one of the most amazing churches in the Netherlands : the "Sint Janskerk" (St John's Church). The church has the style of a mosque, but is owned and used as a place of worship for the St Jan Catholic parish. The city has an old towncenter, which is currently being modernized with new roads and shops.

Waalwijk is a small town in North Brabant that lies between Tilburg and 's-Hertogenbosch.

Waalwijk was granted city rights in 1303. The professional football team RKC plays in Waalwijk.
