From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Walther is a German male name meaning "powerful warrior" or "ruler of the world", from Old High German „waltan“ (to rule) and „heri“ (Army), similar to Harald.
When used as a given name, the h is mostly dropped, especially in English. The h is silent in German.
