Warner Southern College

Warner Southern College is an accredited private Christian liberal arts college in Lake Wales, Florida. Warner Southern seeks to provide excellence in Christian higher education through a curriculum and community that consciously integrates, models and promotes Christian faith, scholarship and servanthood. Students benefit from smaller class size and individual attention from instructors. It is affiliated with the Church of God (Anderson).

Warner Southern College was founded in 1968 by the Southeastern Association of the Church of God in Anderson, Indiana, and is a co-educational institution.

Warner Southern's 360-acre campus is located five miles south of Lake Wales, FL, in the geographic center of the state between Tampa and Orlando. Enrollment averages 1,000 students and it has a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1. Warner Southern has received recognition for Campus Diversity by U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges" for four consecutive years. Its student body represents 26 states and 18 countries.

Warner Southern College offers 28 undergraduate degree programs for traditional students. For working adults, Warner Southern offers a Master of Business Administration degree, a Master of Arts in Education degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministry degree, and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management degree. The Church Ministries and Organizational Management degrees are available via distance learning programs. Warner Southern is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, which is recognized by the US Department of Education.[1]

Warner Southern also operates a unique training facility known as the HEART (Hunger Education and Resources Training) Institute. The HEART Institute is a simulated Third World village which trains students in appropriate technology as well as giving them an opportunity to live in an environment similar to many underdeveloped parts of the world.

The school is a member of the Florida Sun Conference and the National Association of Intercollegiate Colleges (NAIA). The Athletic Department qualified in the NAIA as a Champions of Character institution for three years in a row.
