The word warning may refer to:

  • A precautionary statement describing a potential hazard.
  • In industry Warning is a Signal Word used to denote that failure to follow an indicated action could result in serious personal injury or harm. It must be contrasted with Danger in that; the use of Danger indicates that failure to follow the indicated action will result in personal injury or harm. (e.g., see Toxicity Class, [1])
  • Mount Warning, New South Wales, Australia

In music:

The color red is sometimes described as a 'warning' or 'danger'.
