The film follows the lives of a group of poverty-stricken teenagers in South Wales as they deal with the harsh realities of life and growing up.
The main characters in the story are introduced as they kick a Turkish Muslim man to death in the street. Leigh-Anne is a 17-year-old mother living with three teenage male friends (Robbie, Stephen and Gavin) in a grotty council flat in Cardiff which is situated in one of the city's most deprived areas. She is soon fearing that she might lose her baby daughter to Social Services, and blames her Turkish Muslim neighbour Hassan Osman for this.
Osman is eventually the man who meets his death at the hands of the teenagers. The three boys kick him to death in the street while Leigh-Anne looks on, encouraging them to kick him.
The film closes with Leanne being questioned over Osman's death.
