Multicultural weddings
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Multi-cultural or cross-cultural weddings (not to be confused with Multiculturalism) are weddings that involve at least two or more distinct cultures representing the wedding couple's ethnic background. Such weddings contain blended aspects of their respective cultures with varied rituals, ceremonies and traditions.
Cross-cultural weddings have been in practice from time immemorial. More frequently the norm with royalty, invading military rulers and the usual migratory patterns of humans, such unions have resulted in greater richness of traditions.
